AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND
WAGES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1986
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. From and after January 1, 1986, the salaries of the fol-
lowing city employees fixed by contract shall not exceed the following sums,
which salaries shall be paid monthly:
Mayor
City Attorney
Public Works Director
Clerk-Treasurer
Deputy Treasurer
Police Chief
Police Sergeant
Police Officer 1st Class
Police Officer 2nd Class
Police Officer 3rd Class
Meter Person/Secretary
Dispatcher/Clerk
Fire Chief
Assistant Fire Chief
Firefighter 1st Class
Firefighter 2nd Class
Firefighter 3rd Class
Work Supervisor
Equipment Operator 1
Equipment Operator 2
Park Superintendent
Park Assistant
Administrative Assistant
Water Superintendent
Installer/Repairman
Utility Accountant
Treatment Plant Operator
Assistant Treatment Plant Operator 1
Assistant Treatment Plant Operator 2

Section 2. Effective January 1, 1986 and thereafter the maximum wage
for non-salaried city employees shall be $15.00 and may be less where
designated by the Mayor.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval, and publication in the form and manner provided by law.

Read for the first, second, and third times, passed by the Council and
approved by the Mayor on December 17, 1985.
