HomeMy WebLinkAbout2033 Annexation of Island Vista Plat and Galleon View Estates PlatORDINANCE NO. ~)~ ~ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, AND INCORPORATING THE SAME WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ASSUMPTION OF EXISTING INDEBTEDNESS, ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN, AND ZONING THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the following described real estate situated in Jefferson County, contiguous to the City of Port Townsend, is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Port Townsend: The Island Vista Plat, recorded at Volume 6 of Plats, pages 69 and 70, records of Jefferson County, and that portion of tax lot number 10 and that portion of tax lot number 14 lying adjacent to the said Island Vista Plat; and that portion of the Galleon View Estates adja- cent to said tax lot 14 and South of and abutting upon the City limits of the City of Port Townsend, all situated in a portion of Section 15, Township 30 North, range 1 West, W.M., Jefferson County, Washington. Section 2~ Ail property within the territory annexed shall herein- after be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City of Port Townsend, to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City of Port Townsend contracted prior t0 or existing at the date of annexation. No property herein annexed shall be released from any outstanding indebtedness levied against it prior-to said annexation. Section 3. That a copy of this Ordinance, together with a copy of the Official Plat or a map of said territory to be annexed to the City of Port TOwnsend, shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, and the original map of said territory shall be filed with the County Auditor in manner required by law. Section 4. The annexed real estate shall be subject to the City of Port Townsend's comprehensive plan, as provided in Resolution No. ~--OF of the City Council for the City of Port Townsend, duly approved and passed by the City Council for the City on ~H~  1986, and shall take effect the effective date of upon this Ordinance. Section 5. That the annexed real estate described herein is, effec- ....... ~v~ with the effective date of this Ordinance, hereby zon_ed ~ accordance with Ordinance No. ~ .~h~ ~ .... , duly approved and passed by the Council for the City of Port Townsend. Section 6. Pursuant to Ordinance No. annexed shall be zoned as follows: the property -1- A. Lots 1 through 22 inclusive, of the Island Vista Plat: R-IA B. Lots 23 and 24 of the Island Vista Plat: R-II. C. The "Reserve Area" designated in and upon the Island Vista Plat adjacent to Lot 24 of said Plat: P-I. D. Ail of that portion of tax Lot 10 adjacent to the Island Vista Plat and located Southerly of the existing boundaries of the City of Port Townsend: P-I.
