Opening Business Chai an Zeppa cabled the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. 14embers present were Nancy Zeppa, Julie Me(c;U3,1och, fancy Slater., Jay Gibson, Jm' Campbell, and Jm' Tave akis. Chairman Zeppa pointed out that there was a new drai"nage plan and the Public Works Director xprould have to approve the pro ect by this guideline before :*Lt could be approved by the City. They were interested in knovang Highway Development Policy. A green belt would add t o attractive city entry as Comprehensive plan requires. Mrs. McCulloch read sect ions of the Plan that addressed -an attractive entry into town and traffic generation problems. It was noted that land was properly zoned for a motel. CO aone r McCulloch suggested to applicants that they consult th t he Jefferson Copt Com2rehensive Plam and see what their set back requirements lipare. She stated there M ight be someway to trade rear setback for setbacks on Sims Way and Logan St. 1t would be a good idea to check with the Fire Chief to see I*f they needed the rear access. Mrs. McCulloch agreed to check into trading setbacks as the City did need more motel space. Thb problems needed working on and sowing. Commissioner Tavec-nakj"Ls stated that he iazould like to see access not just one lane over so car headlights zrould not blind traffic on Sims [day. He eras instructed to check frith the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan frith regard to setbacks. See 3.f it i*s possible to trade setbacks.
