Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action
Approval of Minutes: August 12, 2015 The Minutes were unanimously approved.
The Commission reviewed Noah Phillips' application for funding for The Commission unanimously approved funds up to $300 for
theatre performances at Port Townsend High School. printing and publicity costs with the condition that one
performance be presented as a pay-as-you-wish.
Cris Wilson presented the Community Chorus application for funding The Commission unanimously approved funds up to $350 for
for performances of Handel's Messiah. program and poster printing costs.
The Commission reviewed Rain Shadow Chorale's application for The Commission unanimously approved funds up to $300 for
funding their fall workshop. programs, posters and publicity costs with the stipulation that
the event be advertised as open to the public throughout the
community.
The Commission reviewed Song Writing Works' applications for funding The Commission unanimously approved funds up to $350 for
DVD production, music video editing and film screening. printing, publicity and sound for the Life's a Song concert and
film screening.
The Commission reviewed Arts to Elders application for funding for up The Commission unanimously approved funds up to $200 for
to 3 more performances in 2015. the remaining 2015 performances.
Lisa Wentworth provided samples of potential Angel of the Arts and The Commission agreed on January 22, 2015, as the date for
Patron of the Arts award certificates. the Angel of the Arts and Patron of the Arts ceremony. Stan
Rubin will reserve the Cotton Building for the event.
The Commission discussed methods for asking the City to increase The Commission will meet in Special Session on Wednesday,
their budget in 2016. September 9th at 9:00 am in City Hall Conference Room 1 to
discuss the 2016 budget further.
