Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action
Approval of Minutes: May 13, 2015 The Minutes were unanimously approved.
City Attorney Steve Gross gave an overview of the Open Public Meetings Act
Jeanette Force presented the Port Townsend Film Festival's (PTFF) application The Commission unanimously approved endorsement
for funding for rental equipment and sound and lighting enhancements for their of PTFF's request for installing new blinds in the
free theater. She also asked the Commission to endorse PTFF's request to the Cotton Building. Dan Groussman moved to approve
City for installing new blinds in the Cotton Building. funding up to $2,250 —the motion was not carried. The
Commission moved to approve funds up to $3600 for
projector rental for the Peter Simpson Free Cinema by
a vote of 5-1 with Dan Groussman opposed.
Northwinds Art Center/Art Port Townsend requested funding for the printing of The Commission unanimously approved funds up to
brochures for their upcoming studio tour. $1600 for the printing of brochures for the Northwinds
Art Center/Art Port Townsend studio tour.
The Commission will discuss further funding of the Arts
to Elders program at a future meeting.
