Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action
Approval of Minutes: April 22, 2015 The Minutes were unanimously approved.
Dominica Lord-Wood was appointed to the position of
Treasurer with no opposition.
Jeannie McMacken gave an overview of ArtX—The Center for Art Exploration
that is being housed in Fort Worden Building 306.
Stan Rubin expressed gratitude to Laureen Martin and Linda Okazaki for their
service on the Commission.
Harvey Putterman updated the Commission on past and future events put on by The Commission will discuss further funding of the Arts
the Arts to Elders program. to Elders program at a future meeting.
City Manager David Timmons presented plans for the installation of the Russell The Commission unanimously accepted the siting of
Jacqua sculpture "For Willene" and related improvements near the new Visitor the donate piece "For Willene" into the Sims Way and
Information Center. He indicated the City may need to put out a call for a Jefferson Street improvements across from the
landscape designer for the grounds around the sculpture. Visitor's Center. David Timmons will bring a video on
the making of the piece to a future meeting.
