Volunteer Trail Work Party thisSaturday, June 23, from 9 am to Noon
Calling all lovers of our wonderful City trails!
A volunteer work party for maintenance of the City of Port Townsend’s trail system will take
place at Bishop Park. The work will be led by the City’s Non-Motorized Transportation
Advisory Board and City Parks staff with volunteer assistance. Trail maintenance activities will
focus on clearing forest understory brush including salal, serviceberry, and blackberry to widen
trail corridor. Pruners, loppers, and other hand tools will be provided, volunteers are encouraged
to bring their own to help supplement supplies.
Interested volunteers will meet at the trail entrance into the park on Parkside Drive near the
Kosec Funeral Home across the street from Bishop Play Park.
Please bring:
Gloves
Pruners & loppers (for clearing vegetation)
Water
Be sure to wear sturdy work boots and gloves, and dress for the weather – rain or shine, the trail
work will get done! Snacks provided afterwards.
