NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
STREET VACATION OF HOWARD STREET
The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on Monday, September
19, 2016 at or about 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 540 Water Street, Port Townsend,
WA, to accept public testimony on vacating a 330' by 30' (approximate) section of the
Howard Street right-of-way lying east of Block 5 in the Swan Park Addition to the City of
Port Townsend. The street vacation proposal is sought by Safe Harbor Recovery Center
(Application No. LUP15-090). The subject right-of-way lies north of 7th Street, south of
the 9th Street and west of the Port Townsend Business Park.
Persons wishing to testify to the City Council may do so either by submitting oral
testimony during the public hearing, or by submitting written comments to the City Clerk
(isandersa-cityofpt.us, 250 Madison Street, Suite 2, Port Townsend, WA 98368.
Written comments must be received by the close of the public hearing on September
19, 2016. Anyone wishing to inspect the application (LUP15-090) may do so at the
Development Services Department (DSD) on the third floor of City Hall. Persons with
