The training will be conducted Monday, January 7, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The training is open to department personnel only. FBI statistics show a majority of officer-involved shooting incidents occur during hours of darkness. To improve officer survivability of these situations low-light training is mandated. This training typically occurs during the winter months because the sun sets earlier. This notice is meant to advise residents in the area of the gun club off South Jacob Miller Road of the training occurring outside normal operating hours for the facility. Any questions or concerns about the training should be directed to Sgt. Joe Kaare at 360-385-2322. 444
