AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE DURATION OF AMUSE-
MENT AND VENDING MACHINE LICENSES; PROVIDING FOR
THE PRORATION OF LICENSE FEES; AND ESTABLISHING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
S~ctio_n~ !. The~e is here and hereby added to Ordinance 1642,
and Chapter 5.76 of the Port Townsend Municipal Code, a new section
to be known and codified as Section 5.76.050, to read as follows:
~_,?_6,050 Licenses -- Duration and Proration of Fee. Any li-
cense issued under this Chapter shall be for one calendar year,
from January 1 through December 31. In the even~ that. any license
is issued during the calendar year, the fee for each such lieense
shall be prorated, based upon the date of- license issuance, which
license shall then continue in effect~ to December 31 of the year of
issuance.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in the form and manner prescribed by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the City
Council ~or the City of Port Townsend, and signed by the Mayor this
