AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADOPTING THE 1989
BUDGET FOR THE GENERAL CITY GOVERNMENT, THE
WATER-SEWER UTILITIES, THE STORM AND SURFACE
WATER UTILITY, AND BOND REDEMPTION FUNDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appropriation for the 1989 budget is hereby made for
the General City Government for the purpose and in the amounts
following:

Library ........................................... 175,877
Library Renovation and Addition ................... 800,900
Park .............................................. i30,025
Arterial Street ................................... 260,000
Hotel-Motel Transient Tax ......................... 80,000
1988 Fire Equipment Construction Fund ............. 277,000
Emergency Medical Services ........................ 157,060
Capital Improvement ............................... 408,000
Community Development Block Grant ................. 53,000
Federal Shared Revenue ............................ 80,000
Equipment Rental .................................. 548,150
Firemen's Pension and Relief ...................... 311,561
Memorial .......................................... 249,500
Section 2. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1989 budget for
the Water-Sewer Utilities in the sum of $2,609,200.
Section 3. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1989 budget for
the Storm and Surface Water Utility in the sum of $257,000 and the
1988 Storm Drainage Construction of $1,750,000.
Section 4. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1989 budget for
the bond redemption funds as follows:
Limited Tax General Obligation Bond Redemption ........ $107,245
1978 Water Revenue Bond Redemption .................... 56,250
1967 Water/Sewer Revenue Bond Redemption .............. 230,000
1978 Water/Sewer Revenue Bond Redemption Series "B"... 192,013
Section 5. Due hearing having been held, the preceeding four
sections hereof are hereby fixed and adopted as the budget for the
year of 1989 for the City of Port Townsend and its various utilities.
