November 30, 1977
The seating was called to order by the chairperson Teresa Goldsmith.
The minuted were read and awed.
Bev gave time librarian's report noting that on December 10 will be an open house to Ol lid
dedicate the new desk,
frank reported that he had not been able to contact Ken Brown In regards to the
1fighting.
Vouchers ^mere signed.
Architect iagno r Smith# representing a Seattle firap spoke to the board on a
fieeability study for building expansion,
'Per+eaa reported that there had been no requests for the old check out desk. It was
moved that we declare the desk surplus and offer it for bids, reserving the right to
reject ail bids. and setting a minimum bid of $250,00. Motion passed, Bids wAU be
openAd an Dec. 9 at IWO am.
It we,a suggeeted that we make a resolution by which by which we could accept federal
emplOn property. Nation passed.
The city budget did not give, a ?% raise to our temporary and hourly hell, It arse
suggested that we request this raise for them.
It was suggested that we ,make a policy on our withdrawn books. Bev will cheek with
other libraries on heir policies on this matter.
Inter-local Co- operation Agreement for the Jeff. County Project no presented, It
was moved and seconded that Bev sign this. Motion passed.
It we suggest that we create a student position on the board, This would be a.
moon. - voting position.
It was awed and seconded that the library be closed on the Saturdays before and
mondays following Christmas and Now Years.
Teresa reported. that Kathy Hay" would like to meet the board, Bev will have a pot.
luck for the board on Sunday,, Dec. U at 2930 pre.
There will be a meting in Olympia an Jan b that Bev would like the staff to attend,
She will try to get volunteers to staff the library on this day.
Frank will check Into radiant heaters. If feasible Bey will get some for the meeting
rags. Terem reported on the LCAT (Local venter for Appropriate Tschmlogy). They
ice" found some possible funding, ftv^ reported an F.C.L. They now have general
meeting only 4 times a year.
Meeting tsar adjourned at 9115 pm.
