Nelson The meeting was called to order by acting Chairperson Frank Kilham. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as corrected. Librarian Beverly Lamb read the monthly report with a dopy given to each Board member. The vouchers were signed. No communications were reported. Teresa Goldsmith was elected Chairman of the Board and Jessie Harms was elected Secretary. Beverly Lamb presented a form to be sent as a final bill for over -due books. This notice will follow two telephone calls to the patron. It was moved and seconded that this form be accepted. Motion passed. It was moved and seconded that we send a thank -you letter to Ed Hawley thanking him for getting up the library signs. Motion passed. There was discussion about.the city council having tabled the motion for revenue sharing. It was decided to contact more council members and explain our position on the revenue sharing. Bev Umb oWeseed a need for a check out policy on the projector. It was decided to check with other libraries on what their policies are in this area. Bev Lamb reported on the program presented by O.P.E.N. on Outreach and using volunteers in this type program. It is hoped that the Friends of Library will be one source of volunteers for this type of program. Bev Lamb suggested that we consider not charging the residents of Kai Tai Nursing Home for postage on books. Also, that we think about dropping all charges on inter - library loan. Teresa reported on reviewing policies. They seem to be somewhat up to date. She also suggested that we need to revise the Bylaws. It was moved and seconded that we adopt sections on order of Business and Admendnents into the By -laws. Motion passed. It was moved and seconded that we delete the meeting time from the By -laws. Motion passed. It was moved and seconded that we most on the last Wednesday of the month. Frank Kilhas reported on the Washington Library Network Ass. It was suggested that we read over and consider signing the Memorandum of Agreement so that we can be a Basic member of the Association. It was moved and seconded that we sign the agreement.
