May 29, 1975
Present were: Wallin, Kilham, Einarsen, Harmes
Minutes of the previous meeting were not read.
Mrs. Wallin reported the following:
According to Fern Leopold, Librarian, Skagit Valley Community
College is interested in P. T. Library surplus books.
Friends of the Library will have a book sale, using a Fair booth.
Tuesday Story Hour will be the last, since school will then be out.
The Hospital Guild would like Mrs. Wallin to assist volunteers with
the hospital library.
The Library Development Council met in Bremerton onja4ve- 17 to
discuss library sharing in nine counties. A Core Council of 17
members came out of the meeting; Frank Kilham and Chuck Wallin
are on the Council. Officers were elected. They will meet again
on June � at the P. T. Library.
Alice Butler, replacement for Irene Alleger in the Library, will
begin working in mid -June.
Vouchers were approved and signed.
Mr. Kilham will paint public library signs if the City will install
them. With regard to changing the color of the arrows on the
uptown Business District sign on lower Lawrence St., it was suggested
Fred Lester could be contacted.
Meeting was adjourned.
