HomeMy WebLinkAbout081673IJ Special meeting of the Public Library Board The Library Board of Trustees met in a special session at noon on Monday the 15th of August to discuss two matters of importance to the library. All members were present. A survey had been made of the grounds of the library pointing up the use made of City Property at the time of the building of Harrision House Apts. by Robert Sahli. Some of this property had been blacktopped and was used for parkin; by the tenants of Harrison House, and the concern for assuring this property to remain the jurisdiction of the city was discussed. A motion was made by Gael Stuart that it was a matter concerning the City Attorney and that Dr. Chuljian as Chairman of the Library Board would write regarding the matter. The motion was seconded, passed. Mrs. Wallin had been contacted by Jim Burke, of Clallam- Jefferson County regarding the OPERATIONS MAINSTREAM PROGRAM. The library was in a position to avail itself of this federally funded training program, and a part time employee, Mrs. Nadine Stewart would be eligible for the program. It was moved by Gael Stewart that Mrs. Wallin proceed with the necessary steps to procure the program. Motion was s6bonded and passed. No further business to come before the board, the meeting adjourned at 12.45 P.M.
