Trustees of the Port Townsend Library Board met June 21 1969
at 7 :30 P.M. at the Library. Present were Mr Potthoff, Dr. Chuljian,
Dorothy kunt, and Librarian Mrs Wallin.
The meeting was called to order by Chr. Potthoff. Minutes of
the � meeting were read and apr; roved. No minutes were taken at
the May5th meeting, as the Board members met merely to sign vouchers,
and no business was conducted.
Mrs Wallin read the librariants report for the month of May. She
also reported on her meeting with librarians in Port Angeles. She
learned that some things were carried on in a different manner than
here at this library, namely, the method in which periodicals are
handled.
0 Mrs Wallin also stated she had been able to find a capable girl
to help with the Binding and Repair of damaged books. The charge for
this would be considerably less than sending books away to be no--
paired, Mrs Wallin would work with her when needed under verbal.
contract, if board members agreed. Permission was given by members
present.
ZThe Wage Fund was discussed, and it was decided that we can wait
a little while before asking Council for an emergency ordinance. Mrs
Wallin estimated that we will need to ask for approximately ;Iq,1,000..
Members also discussed a book b7T Philip Roth, received by the
library - -Due to its subject matter, and its presentation members
agreed that the book should be returned to the publisher.
