Trustees of the Port townsend library Board mat at the Library at 1 ;P.M.
Present were Miss Hill, Dra, Chuljian# Mr. Potthoff, Mrs, Hunt# Mrs, Walling
Librarian, and Mrs. Rise, representing Friends of the Library.
As we are without a chairman, due to the expiraticn of Mr. Deitts term,
Visas Hill moved that Dr. Chuljian be appointed chairman of the Board,
seconded by Mrs. Hunt, Dr. Chiiljian declined the appointment stating
pressof his business and involvement in other commitments. j
Mrs. Walling Librarian gave her report for the month. Discuss4d were the
improvements being made in the downstairs area, where a study room for the
students is being set up.

A sofa and chair, with. a library table have been purchased from :Nlrs.
iConway for $200,00 for the upstairs floor.
Friends have suggested that a Memorial to Mr. Fi,narsen be a boob. Suggested
were "Sea of the Bear" or 'Mon, Ships and the Sea,"

Friends of the Library have jdona.ted a subscription for than' Sunday edition
of the New York Times.
Paint has been donated for %' he downstairs area dnO volunteers ars needed
to assist with the painting.

Mr. P otthoff is to contact Mr. Nichols as to bedoming a member of the Board
to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Detts.
