0 Port Townsend Library Board met March 2nd with all members and
two - uests, Mrs Scov, and Mr Sullivan present.
Minutes of the February meeting were read and approved.
Correspondence:
Fetter from Miss Reynolds, who applied for position as librarian,
was read. She felt that the position here should be filled by a younger
person, she is a retired teacher.

Miss Rutledge gave her monthly report which is on file.
She discussed subscriptions to magazines with the Board members,
statinr- that she would rather subscribe from one publishing house. It was
the Boards decision that she should follow whatever was the easiest method
for her. Miss Rutledge also suggested that the Encyclopedia Americana
could be traded for a more modern set, but that we should keep the Tncyclo-
pedia Brit.iannica. Miss Rutledge to let us know developments on this next
month.
It was the Board1s decision to advertize again for a librarian
around the first of May, hoping to attract June graduates. Advertisements
should be placed in the Seattle, San Francisco rand Portland papers. Miss
Rutledge was reminded that volunteer workers should be called upon.
Mrs Scov, representing Friends of the Library, asked permission to
move a bookcase in the ch-11drens area, as not enough room is available for
the children to sit during their story - hour.
