LIBRARY BOARD IMEET ING
February 27, 1980 .

Meeting was called to order by Chuirman Jesse Harms
Minutes from January meeting were not available since newly appointed secretary
.Jim lleynen had not been present. Board members reviewed from memory what
had transpired.
Current vouchers were reviewed and signed.
In her report, Librarian Bev I..amb
1. presented monthly circulation and activities; report (attached)
2. announced April Ingmar Bergman film festival
A. In this regard, It was agreed no one under 18 would be admitted
B. Donation would be accepted to defray expense:.;
3. displayed samples of products produced by County Library System mimeo scanner.
4. announced tliat Friends of Library were purchasing check-out desk for children's
library
There were no communications
Under old Business:
1. CETA employees gave their reports
A. Georgia Richard/ (written report attached)
B. Carol Leand reported on her two major projects, the Skills Exchange and
the features- ori.onLed magazine
2. The relationship of the Ceta Qmployces to the library was discussed. The
main board concern was with possible cost and space requirements of CETA
employees.
Under New Business
1. Librarian Bev Iamb reported that library staff had mistakenly taken off
February 11 instead of February 12 which had been designated a city holiday.
It was moved, seconded, and carried that a letter of assurance be sent
to the city auditor requesting that the staff be paid for the holiday.
4. Review of policies was begun and stopped at the bottom of page 10. It
was appoed that review of policies be continued at the March meeting
and that Bev Lamb would bring an up -date and rewrite of several items
for board approval..
3. It was moved, seconded, and carried that the board would meet in personnel
executive session for Bev Lamb *s evaluation after the March board meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:20 pm
