NOVEMBER 29, 1983
Present: Konrad Schwenke, Laurie Stewart, Vicki Lea - Shelton, John
Marckworth, Cheryl VanDyke, Beverly Lamb, Vern Jones.
The minutes were approved.
Vouchers were signed.
The librarian's report is attached. Based on year to date reports the
board voted the expenditure of '1,000.00 from currently available
(unassigned in budget) 1983 funds.
Committee reports
Computer
Use of the computer is increasing and classes are always
filled with a waiting list.
Contract
The negotiation committee will try to set up a meeting with
their Jeffco Library counterpart when a non - resident user policy has
been decided.
Building
. Johnson & Little are ready to begin work on the canopy which
will be completed by or before the end of the year. They have
recommended that columns by added to support the canopy load and that
the chains be Kept only as decoration. The board voted an additional
$150.00 to cover the cost of the columns.
The locks on the building are being changed.
The board voted to expend the balance of the building
maintenance fund on piaster repair and interior painting upstairs.
Laurie will ask contractors for bids.
Fixtures have been obtained for the outside light column.
Fork will continue apace.
There were no communications.
New Business
The board voted to authorize library closure on December 24.

Bus i ness
The Jefferson County Library Question was discussed. Bev will
make a list of services commonly exchanged between the two libraries
and indicate which would came under current contract funding and which
are performed unofficially and gratis.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
Next Meeting December 27, 7 :30 p.m.
