Minutes July 30, 1985
The meeting was called to order 8:00 p.m.
Present: Cheryl Van Dyke, Sue Sidle, Laurie Stewart, Pete Kaiser
Beverly Lamb
Vouchers were signed.
Bev reported that the summer reading activities have been very
successful.
Tom Kimball has completed the first section of shelving for the
toys bank; the board will send him a letter of thanks.
The projector check -out policy was tabled.
The ramp has been repaired.
Shelving- -
Bev presented a list of shelving types and prices for downstairs.
It was decided to try to find a local person to build the solid
wood portion of the shelving request. Comparative prices will be
developed for the steel portion & a decision will be made at the
August meeting.
Library building /land --
Mike Kenna from the City Council has indicated that the corner lot
next to the library is for sale. Cheryl and Bev will investigate
further and discuss it with the Finance Committee and other appropriate
council members. Owner's of other adjacent property will also be
contacted.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
