BOARD OF TRUSTEES
REGULAR MEETING
November 28, 1988
Call to order 7 :25 pm. Signed vouchers.
Minutes of special meetings Oct. 18 and Oct. 24, MSApproved.
Announcement of Board —Staff Retreat on January 21.
Special. Meeting November 21, no minutes taken. Met 7 :30 am. withKeith
.,Harper, on Architect Contract. In Article 12, No. 9—d was
ci sussed, accepted as written. Alta& --Ne. 7 was amended.
Library Director described an 'Output Measuring' workshop for staff.
Copper Canyon Press is donating a collection of their products.
A letter of thanks will be sent.
Budget is on target; next year's to be approved in December.
Announced meeting Dec. 6, with Architects and State Rep.
Career computer program — talks progressing on sharing with School.
Building Committee — discussion of rear lot line; Lincoln ScbDol as
temporary site.
Personnel: Anne described meeting on Evaluation; methods, objectives,
job descriptions. To be done annually,
Policy: official policies on videos, computer use, resource sharing
are available now.
Board meeting December 28, vouchers, get forms for evaluation.
Christmas closing — holiday on Saturday the 24th, in lieu of City
holiday on Monday.
Need for special appropriation from Building Fund, by City Council,
for payment for Survey —soil sampling and for first Architect fee.
Bev will check, may take two Council meetings, Motion to proceed,
MSA.
Custodian has asked for increase in fee from $42.50 to $57.50 per week.
No data on hours etc.; Bev will ask for info, present at January meeting.
Contract with Bob Little: Starting date not specified. With the bidding
process — discussed — probably better beginning with work on Bidding
Documents. Gwen will disnuss with Little.
Duties & Responsibilities clauses. Motion to approve Contract as
amended, MSA. Board suggested starting date beginning on Bid
Documents.
Temporary housing for functional Library: staff is starting to consider.
Probably needed (th 7 or 8 months.
