ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, REDUCING
THE SPEED LIMIT ON PORTIONS OF STATE ROUTE 20 WITHIN
THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AND AMENDING SECTION
10.28.010 OF THE PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 10.28.010 of the Port Townsend Municipal
Code is hereby amended as follows:
10.28..010 State Route 20--Between ((ouincy)) Harrison
street and western city limits. No vehicle of any kind
shall travel on that portion of State Route 20, also known
as Water Street and Sims Way, in the city, between the east
boundary of ((~u~mey)) Harrison street and the western city
limits in excess of the speeds hereinafter set forth:

(b ~) From the east boundary of((Wan-B~em))

Street (Milepost 10.18%, thirty miles per hour;

(a ~) From the east boundary of Howard Street

· Section 2. Severability. In the event any one or more of the
provisions of this ordinance shall for any reason be held to be
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect or invalidate any other
provision of this ordinance, but this ordinance shall be
construed and enforced as if such invalid provision had not been
contained therein; provided, that any provision which shall for
any reason be held by reason of its extent to be invalid shall be
deemed to be in effect to the extent permitted by law.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
effective five days after its passage and publication or upon

posting of the speed limit revisions set forth herein, whichever
occurs latest.

and for the second and third times and passed by the City Council
of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
