Call to order 7:15 pm.

`i Discussion of current status of accounting.
Table refinishing: Gwen is getting estimates; and help from
specialist, now Pres. of Gardiner Comm. Centdr.
Counter in Carnegie Room: design and finish, not as planned;
modern design and blond finish. Should have been cleared
through Decorator and Bldg. Committee. Will be followed up.
Also color to be put on hardwood floor; best to be similar to
furniture, suitable for period.
Fireplace hearths need cleaning — etching? May be job for volunteers,
also painting staircase etc.
Items needing attention — (Mike) — noise of forced air; covers for
fireplaces; furniture details; deteriorated wood in sills,
east wall; color blending for surface conduits; added
insulation in ceiling; in reading room, floor outlets where
needed for furniture placement.
Gas output from new carpeting: supposed to dissipate in few weeks.
Odors, mold etc. in air in new building; desirable to obtain
base levels.
Earth Day discussion with proponents; possible use of old
building for exhibits etc.. Questions of liability, building
will probably still be in hands of contractor.
Friends of the Library: Sue described plans; Spring meeting on April 18,
Newasletter to be prepared by B. J. Russell,
Grand Opening: meeting planned for scheduling. Leader will prepare
Supplement, hoped this can include part to serve as Library
Brochures. Library Board will contribute to cost. Deadline
for Supplement June 1. Speakers for Opening were discussed.
Building cleaner has asked for raise. Discussion of move, and
cleaning in new Library. Bev recommends setting up a maintenance
schedule and putting out to bid. After discussion —
MOTION, NSA: To raise cleaning fee from $46.75 plus 4*6 to $48.85
per month, effective through. May 1990, also retroactive
to January 1990.
