A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE
AND EXECUTE THE CONTRACTS NECESSARY FOR THE SEWER SERVICE
AREA STUDY FOR THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE CITY WITHIN
APPROVED BUDGETS
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified this project as a priority on the 6 yeaz
Capital Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Wastewater Comprehensive Plan of 1999 identifies this as an azea for
expansion; and
WHEREAS, this project requires timeliness as development in the Upper Sims area
progresses; and
WHEREAS, this project will benefit commercial and residential properties; and
WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the City Manager to sign all necessary
documents and contracts for design and construction of capital projects; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to move forwazd with this project from
design to construction in the most expedient manner;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute the contracts
necessary for the Sewer Service Area Study for the Southwest comer of the City within approved
budgets.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regulaz meeting
thereof, held this 17th day of September, 2007.
