A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE CONTRACTS NECESSARY FOR THE KANiJ DRIVE LIFT STATION
REPLACEMENT PROJECT WITHIN THE APPROVED BUDGETS
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified this project as a priority on the 6 year
Capital Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the project was identified as a priority project in the Wastewater
Comprehensive Plan of 1999; and
and
WHEREAS, the current Kanu Drive Lift Station is nearing the end of its useful life; and
WHEREAS, the project will provide continuing service to the residents of Kanu Drive;
WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the City Manager to sign all necessary
documents and contracts for design and construction of capital projects; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to move forwazd with this project from
design to construction in the most expedient manner;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute contracts
necessary for the Kanu Drive Lift Station Replacement Project within the approved budgets.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 17th day of September, 2007.
