A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE CONTRACTS NECESSARY FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF
THE OUTFACE REPLACEMENT WITHIN APPROVED BUDGETS
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified this project as a priority in the 6 yeaz Capital
Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the project was identified as a priority project in the Wastewater
Comprehensive Plan of 1999; and
WHEREAS, the existing outfall must be assessed and may need replacement; and
WHEREAS, the project will provide continuing service to the residents of Port
Townsend; and
WHEREAS, the City Council must authorize the City Manager to sign all necessary
documents and contracts for design and construction of capital projects; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to move forward with this project from
design to construction in the most expedient manner;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute contracts
necessary for the design and construction of the outfall replacement within approved budgets.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regulaz meeting
thereof, held this 17th day of September, 2007.
