RESOLUTION NO. 07-025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF AN IN-CAR VIDEO SYSTEM TO
COBAN RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the USDA grant applications to assist in the
purchase of an additional Police vehicle and an In-Car Video System for the Police fleet; and
WHEREAS, additional monies necessary to fund the 65% match were appropriated in
the 2006 supplemental budget; and
WHEREAS, the City solicited a Request for Proposals in accordance with federal, state
and city bidding procedures; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager may award and execute a contract for purchase of
equipment and installation with authorization from Council; and
WHEREAS, Coban Research and Technologies was found to have the most favorable
proposal for the City of Port Townsend,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is hereby authorized to award the contract for the purchase and
installation of an In-Car Video System to Coban Research and Technologies, Inc. and to take all
necessary and proper steps to carry out the contract, including approving appropriate change
orders that do not exceed the amount previously authorized by Council for this project in the
approved budget.
ADOPTED by the City Council ofthe City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this sixth day of August, 2007.
