1. Call to order— roll call.
2. Approval of August 27, 2013 agenda.
3. Approval of June 25, 2013 minutes.
4. Staff report? (Steve Wright) Steve asked to be notified 2 days before
PRTAB meetings. Said he may attend, depending.
5. Kah Tai Lagoon Nature Park transfer completion, issues remaining to be
resolved. (Debbie)
6. PRT work plan 2013:
a. Tree City USA-
i. Update on Parkside Park plans. (Debbie)
ii. Update on Significant Trees brochure of PT. (Debbie)
iii. Update Tree City information. (Debbie)
b. Volunteers for our parks-
i. Next work party at Kah Tai Park in October. Date to be
determined.
ii. Update on Chetzemoka, Haller Fountain Steps, and Bell
Tower volunteer weeding.
1. Chetzemoka — email to Barb Pastore August 15.
2. Haller Fountain Steps —Bonnie Corra emailed me July
24 she planned a work party July 30 10am-noon.
3. Bell Tower— Steve Wright reported at our PRTAB
meeting June 25 that the parks crew did some weed
eating there. Also I emailed a possible volunteer
August 15 to see if she had done any weeding.
iii. Guidelines for weed removal in city parks. (Ron)
c. Update on Bulbfest 2013. Danny Milholland heading effort to plant
1000+ bulbs (possibly 3000) at Bobby McGarraugh Park Sunday
Oct 20 from 1 lam to 4pm. Bulbs ordered early July. (Danny)
d. Update on Park Functional Plan revision. (Debbie)
e. Metropolitan Park District:
i. Report on MPD Steering Committee August 9 park tour
and program visit. (Debbie)
ii. My August preliminary MPD recommendation as a
Steering committee member. (Rosemary)
7. Future Meeting Agenda Items. Next regularly scheduled PRTAB meeting
Tuesday September 24 from 4:30-6pm.
8. Visitor and PRT board comment— 3 min per person.
