RESOLUTION NO. 13-023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD AND SIGN ALL
CONTRACTS FOR THE REPAIR OF THE WALKER STREET FROM LAWRENCE
STREET TO BLAINE STREET
WHEREAS, Walker Street from Lawrence Street to Blaine Street is in need of repair;
and
WHEREAS, the City received a Transportation Improvement Board Grant for $183,122
in November 2012; and
WHEREAS,the project is included in the 2013 CIP with matching funds of$60,000
from the stormwater fund; and
WHEREAS, installing a manhole in the sewer line on Walker Street is a priority for the
street and sewer crew and the collection system operations budget has funds for the installation;
and
WHEREAS, staff are completing the design of the project and preparing the bid
documents; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Council of Port Townsend authorizes the City Manager to award and sign all contracts
for the repair of Walker Street—Lawrence Street to Blaine Street.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 5"' day of August 2013.
