RESOLUTION NO. 13-019
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON TO PROVIDE SURVEYING SERVICES AND STAFF ASSISTANCE
TO THE JACKMAN STREET RESIDENTS IN THE PAVING OF JACKMAN STREET
BETWEEN 12TH AND 14TH STREETS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows:
WHEREAS, the residents of Jackman Street between 12th and 14`h Streets desire to pave
their gravel road to decrease dust and other maintenance issues; and
WHEREAS,the City has limited transportation funds for road repair and maintenance; and
WHEREAS,the limited participation of the City will enable the residents to accomplish this
goal; and
WHEREAS,paving this road will reduce the road and stormwater maintenance issues for the
City; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.21.275 allows cities, with Council approval, to provide supplies,
materials and limited support to residents making street improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows: direct staff to contract surveying work and provide project support to assist
residents of Jackman Street to pave their road from 12th to 101 Streets.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 1 st day of July 2013.
