RESOLUTION NO. 07-006
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE INTERLOCAL
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENTS WITH LOCAL AGENCIES WITH
THE PURPOSE OF CREATING SHARED VENDOR LIST, SMALL WORKS AND
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ROSTERS
WHEREAS, Chapter 39.34 RCW permits public agencies to execute cooperative
purchasing agreements; and
WHEREAS, local agencies within the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas would like to
create shared rosters to increase the pool of eligible contractors and reduce the redundancy of all
the agencies creating and maintaining such lists; and
WHEREAS, shared rosters are beneficial to the contractors as it allows contractors to
apply to one agency and be eligible for all participating agencies; and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing Agreement also allows member
agencies to use each other's competitively awarded contracts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is herby authorized to sign an lnterlocal Cooperative Purchasing
Agreements with any local agency desiring to be included on any or all of the Shared Vendor,
Small Works or Professional Services Rosters.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this sixteenth day of January 2007.
