AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION OF AMBULANCE SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND BY AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2199 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2203 PERTAINING TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF ORDINANCE NO 2199 Whereas, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 2199 regulating ambulance service within the City to be effective September 1, 1990, and, Whereas, the city Council passed Ordinance No. 2203 in August of 1990 delaying the effective date to November 1, 1990, to allow the effects of such regulations to be studied and reviewed, and, Whereas, it is now evident that further amendments to ordinance No. 2199 are necessary to protect the public welfare, now therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2199 as amended by Ordinance No. 2203 is here and hereby further amended to read as follows: "The effective date of this Ordinance shall be (Nevembe~ ~7--1~3z3~) January 1. 1991, or following its passage, approval, and publication in the form and manner provided by law, whichever date is later." Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval, and publication in the form and manner provided by law. Read for the first, second, and third times, passed by the council and approved by the Mayor this 6th day of November, 1990. Attest-. city Attorney
