1. Call to order — roll call.
2. Approval of May 28, 2013 agenda.
3. Approval of Apr 24, 2013 minutes.
4. Staff report? (Steve Wright) Steve asked to be notified 2 days before
PRTAB meetings. Said he may attend, depending.
5. Rosemary Sikes and Danny Milholland seeking another term on PRTAB.
Their terms expired May 1, 2013. Lys Burden's term expires May 1, 2014.
6. PRT work plan 2013:
a. Tree City USA:
i. Report on progress of Parkside Drive planting. (Debbie)
ii. Create Significant Trees brochure of PT:
1. Where are we in the process since the draft
brochures were printed for Arbor Day? (Debbie)
iii. Report on Arbor Day activities Apr 26 and 27.
1. Rosemary led Castle Hill walk Apr 26.
2. Ron led Fort Worden walk Apr 26.
3. Sarah Fairbanks led Chetzemoka walk Apr 26.
4. Lys Burden led Arbor Day bike ride `Tour du Trees
PT' Apr 27.
b. Volunteers for our parks:
i. Work party at Kah Tai Park from 9am — noon, May 19 and
June 22. Emphasis will be pulling Scot's broom and garbage
pick-up. Include a press release of the event by Rosemary
and notice to the city website by Debbie.
ii. Update on Chetzemoka, Haller Fountain Steps, and Bell
Tower volunteer weeding.
c. Vision for Bulbfest 2013. Danny Milholland heading effort to plant
1000+ bulbs at Bobby McGarraugh Park mid October Sunday Oct
13 or 20 (possible dates). List of bulbs from Matt Berberich 25 or 50
cents each. Ron and Rosemary Sikes to donate $25, Debbie
Jahnke to donate $25, Danny Milholland to donate $25, Lys Burden
to donate $25, Margaret Lee to donate $25, $250 from City Parks
budget approved by Steve Wright. When do we order bulbs and
who decides what bulbs to order?
d. Complete Park Functional Plan (on hold because staff time is being
used for the MPD process). Rosemary Sikes and Debbie Jahnke
on subcommittee with 2 members of Planning Commission.
e. Metropolitan Park District:
i. Report on MPD Steering Committee meeting May 14.
ii. Open House Sat June 1 from 9:30am-noon Chimacum
High School Library.
7. Future Meeting Agenda Items.
8. Visitor and PRT board comment — 3 min per person.
