AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AMENDING
THE PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE, CHAPTER 10.04
PARKING, SECTION 10.04.190, TWO-HOUR PARKING LIMIT, TO
PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONAL TWO-HOUR PARKING SPACES ON
GRANT STREET NEAR SEVENTH STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend determines that modification of
existing parking regulations in Chapter 10.04, Parking, is appropriate to amend and provide for
additional two-hour parking spaces on Grant Street as set forth in this Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the Grant Street site is zoned C-Il (H) Hospital Commercial; and
WHEREAS, the adjacent property is occupied by a clinic, and it is appropriate to designate
the spaces next to the clinic for two hour parking to facilitate their use for persons visiting the office
during the day.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend ordains as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 10.04, Parking, Se4ction 10.04.190 - Two-Hour Parking Limit, of
the Port Townsend Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (underline is added):
10.04.190
Two-hour parking limit.
It shall be unlawful for any person to stand or park any motor vehicle continuously at the same
place for more than two hours between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5 :00 p.m. on any day except
Sundays and holidays, on the following described streets of the city:
A. On Water Street from Harrison Street to Madison Street, and from Madison Street to Monroe
Street, on the street side adjacent to and in front of City Hall;
B. On Taylor Street from Front Street to Washington Street;
C. On Adams Street from Front Street to Washington Street;
D. On Washington Street from Tyler Street to Quincy Street;
E. On Lawrence Street from Polk Street to Taylor Street;
F. On Tyler Street from Washington Street to Front Street and from Lincoln Street to Clay Street;
G. On Quincy Street from Washington Street to Water Street;
H. On Polk Street from Water Street to Washington Street;
1. On Madison Street, between Front Street and Washington Street;
J. On the 100 block of Quincy Street, between Front Street and Water Street;
K. On "Waterfront Place," in the area adjacent to Quincy Street and Front Street, to the west and
east of, and adjacent to, the Quincy Street dock, and behind the N.D. Hill Building;
L. On the 200 block of Monroe Street, from Water Street to Washington Street;
M. Calhoun Street between Water Street and Front Street on the northeast side of the street; and

N. On Fillmore Street between Water Street and Washington Street.
O. On the easterlv side of Grant Street between 7th Street and the drivewav entrance to the north.
SECTION 2. Penalty. A violation of this ordinance shall be as prescribed in PTMC
10.04.205, Violations - Penalties, as now or hereafter amended.
SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any
person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the application of the
provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days following its publication in the
manner provided by law.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting
thereof, held this fourth day of December, 2006.
