HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-025 Authorizing CM to execute intergovernmental cooperative purchasing agreement with King Co Directors' Association RESOLUTION NO. 06-025 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY DIRECTORS' ASSOCIATION (KCDA) WHEREAS, Chapter 39.34 RCW permits public agencies to execute cooperative purchasing agreements; and WHEREAS, these purchasing agreements allow govermnent agencies to share favorable contracts with each other without replicating the bidding process (piggy-backing); and WHEREAS, Purchasing Cooperatives increase the buying power of each govermnent agency; and WHEREAS, king County Directors' Association is a purchasing cooperative that includes school districts, cities, counties and other local agencies and non-profits throughout the State of Washington. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign an Interlocal Purchasing Agreement with King County Directors' Association (DCDA).
