1. Call to order — roll call.
2. Approval of April 24, 2013 agenda.
3. Approval of Mar 26, 2013 minutes.
4. Staff report/ Parks & recreation 2013 budget. (Judy Surber/Steve Wright)
5. PRT work plan 2013:
a. Tree City USA:
i. Report on progress of Parkside Drive planting. (Debbie)
ii. Tree City grant update. (Debbie)
iii. Create Significant Trees brochure of PT:
1. DRAFT Significant Trees of PT brochure approved by
staff.
2. Finalize brochure and print.
iv. Arbor Day activity planning.
1. Rosemary to lead Castle Hill walk Apr 26.
2. Ron to lead Fort Worden walk Apr 26.
3. Sarah Fairbanks to lead Chetzemoka walk Apr 26 or
Apr 27.
4. David Bise to lead Arbor Day bike ride `Tour du Trees
PT' Apr 26 or Apr 27. `Hosted' by ReCyclery.
b. Volunteers for our parks:
i. Work party at Kah Tai Park from 9am — noon, April 21 and
May 19. Emphasis will be pulling Scot's broom and garbage
pick-up. Include a press releases of the event by Rosemary
and notice to the city website by Debbie.
ii. Mar 26 Steve Wright requested volunteers to help with
weekly weeding at Chetzemoka. Apr 2 Barb Pastore
volunteered to be volunteer coordinator for Chetzemoka.
Update of Chetzemoka volunteer weeding.
c. Vision for Bulbfest 2013. See Danny Milholland's email from Apr 1.
1000+ bulbs to plant at Bobby McGarraugh Park Dec 1 from 11 am-
3pm. List of bulbs from Matt Berberich 25 or 50 cents each. (Ron
and Rosemary willing to donate $25 to buy 100 bulbs max.) Other
sources to purchase bulbs for the event?
d. Complete Park Functional Plan (on hold because staff time is being
used for the MPD process). Rosemary Sikes and Debbie Jahnke
on subcommittee with 2 members of Planning Commission.
e. Metropolitan Park District:
i. Report on MPD Steering Committee meeting Apr 23.
6. Future Meeting Agenda Items.
7. Visitor and PRT board comment — 3 min per person.
