RESOLUTION 06-022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
MAKERS ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN DESIGN TO PROVIDE
ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AND
DEVELOP THE NORTH DOWNTOWN HISTORIC
STREETSCAPE DESIGN CONCEPT PLAN
WHEREAS, the City and Consultant desire to enter into an Agreement to formalize their
relationship; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the City to utilize the Consultant as an independent
entity to provide assistance and develop the North Downtown Historic Streetscape Design
Concept Plan; and
WHEREAS, such services require specialized expertise and training; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has experience as an architecture and urban design firm; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant submitted a response to the City's Request for
Qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that Makers Architecture and Urban Design is the best
qualified of the respondents to the Request for Qualifications to perform the services required;
and
WHEREAS, the Consultant is willing and able to provide and perform said services; and
WHEREAS, said services are temporary in duration,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City ofport
Townsend that the City Manager is herby authorized to sign a professional services agreement with
Makers Architecture and Urban Design to provide assistance and develop the North Downtown
Historic Streetscape Design Concept Plan.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this twenty-first day of August, 2006. 1\ ~
