1. Call to order— roll call.
2. Approval of Mar 26, 2013 agenda.
3. Approval of Jan 10, Jan 22 and Feb 26, 2013 minutes.
4. PRT work plan 2013:
a. Tree City USA:
i. Report on progress of Haines street cottages planting.
ii. Tree City grant update. (Debbie)
iii. Arbor Day activity planning. (Lys)
b. Create Significant Trees brochure of PT:
i. 'Significant tree brochure' update about consideration of
street trees. (Debbie)
ii. Decide on significant trees. Nominations from PRT board
send to Debbie.
iii. Debbie creates brochure. Report from Debbie.
iv. DRAFT Significant Trees of PT brochure approved by staff.
v. Tree walk for National Arbor Day (Apr 26) using the DRAFT
Significant Trees of PT brochure?
vi. Finalize brochure and print.
c. Volunteers for our parks:
i. Bonnie Corra organized raking of the Rhody beds at Haller
Fountain/Terrace Steps Mar 16 from 11 am-1 pm. Included
notification of Leader and PDN by Rosemary and the city
website by Debbie.
ii. Work party at Kah Tai Park from 9am — noon, March 24 and
April 21. Emphasis will be pulling Scot's broom and garbage
pick-up. Include a press releases of the event by Rosemary
and notice to the city website by Debbie.
iii. Volunteer work parties for April. (Debbie)
iv. Discussion about posting our volunteer events on the City
website. (Debbie)
d. Complete Park Functional Plan (on hold because staff time is being
used for the MPD process). Rosemary Sikes and Debbie Jahnke
on subcommittee with 2 members of Planning Commission.
5. Metropolitan Park District:
a. Report on MPD Steering Committee meeting Mar 21 .
b. Discussion of continuity of PRT representative (i.e. chair) on
the MPD steering committee.
6. Parks & rec budget. (Lys)
Judy Surber not to attend PRT meeting until April 21.
7. Update from Candice Gohn on labeling of trees in Chetzamoka Park. (Lys)
8. Touring our parks sometime? (Lys)
9. Future Meeting Agenda Items.
10.Visitor and PRT board comment — 3 min per person.
