1. Call to order — roll call.
2. Approval of Feb 26, 2013 agenda.
3. Approval of Jan 22, 2013 minutes.
4. PRT work plan 2013:
a. Tree City USA:
i. Accept Arbor Day proclamation from Mayor at City Council
Feb 19, 2013. (Rosemary)
ii. Planting at Kah Tai Park from 9am — noon, in conjunction
with Jefferson County Conservation District plant sale Feb
23, 2013, includes forty native trees and 90 native shrubs.
(Approved by Rick Sepler and Steve Wright.) Include a press
release of the event (Rosemary).
iii. Report on progress of Haines street cottages planting. (Ron)
b. Create Significant Trees brochure of PT city property. Significant
trees on city right of ways will need to reviewed on a case by case
basis
i. Decide on significant trees on city property. Nominations
from PRT board send to Debbie before Feb 26 PRT
meeting.
ii. Debbie creates brochure. Report from Debbie.
iii. Cost for printing. $74+tax for 500 8.5X11 double sided,
colored paper, tri-fold brochure for AAS 1-7-2013. Funding
source: PRT board (first printing).
iv. Tree walk for Arbor Day (Apr 10) using the Significant Trees
of PT city property brochure?
c. Volunteers for our parks:
i. PRT board chair contact Steve Wright before PRT board
meeting to assess volunteer need. Not until weeding is
needed in spring.
ii. City website notification of volunteer events. Discussion of
donation form Judy sent and the information Lys sent
included as links on our PRTAB webpage. Report from
Debbie.
d. Complete Park Functional Plan (on hold). Rosemary Sikes and
Debbie Jahnke on subcommittee with 2 members of Planning
Commission.
5. Metropolitan Park District: Report on joint City Council and BOCC
meeting Feb 11 etc. (Rosemary and Debbie)
6. Future Meeting Agenda Items.
7. Visitor comment — 3 min per person.
