Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement
RESOLUTION 13-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH BUY BOARD NATIONAL
PURCHASING COOPERATIVE
WHEREAS, Chapter 39.34 RCW permits public agencies to execute cooperative
purchasing agreements; and
WHEREAS, these purchasing agreements allow government agencies to share favorable
contracts with each other without replicating the bidding process (piggy-backing); and
WHEREAS, Purchasing Cooperatives increase the buying power of each government
agency; and
WHEREAS, Buy Board is an administrative agency formed for the mutual benefit of
school districts and local agencies throughout the Unites States.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign an Interlocal Purchasing Agreement with
Buy Board National Purchasing Cooperative
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 4th day of February 2013.
