RESOLUTION 06-018
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE 2007-2012 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM TO CHANGE THE FUNDING STATUS OF A
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE
REVISED TIP TO THE STATE
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the 2007-2012 Six Year Transportation
Improvement Plan with Resolution No. 06-016 in July 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes the Washington State Department of Transportation to
obligate funds from a Transportation and Conununity System Preservation (TCSP) grant which
were allocated to the City for the Historic District Streetscape and Transportation Improvements
Project (Item No. 12 on the TIP); and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation, Local Programs is
requiring some administrative changes to the TIP in order to secure the monies for the Historic
District Streetscape and Transportation Improvements, Phase 1 Project; and
WHEREAS, those funds were shown on the 2007-2012 Six Year Plan with a "P"
Planned funding status for the Historic District Streetscape and Transportation Improvements,
Phase 1 Project and the grant monies for the project must be listed as "S" Secured in the 2007-
2012 Six Year Plan in order to be obligated by WSDOT for TCSP grant funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City ofPort
Townsend that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this amendment resolution approving the
change to the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for 2007-2012 for submission to
the Washington State Department of Transportation.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 17th day of July, 2006.
