Approval of Nov 27, 2012 agenda. 3. Approval of Oct 23, 2012 minutes. 4. Tree City USA recertification application deadline Dec 31,2012. (Debbie Jahnke) 5. Guidelines-Council Committees and Advisory Bodies (Oct 29, 2012) a. Council would review at end of 2012 to terminate, revise, or take other action. b. AB may meet on their own without staff support. i. Chair must meet with dept head to have projects approved. ii. Chair must provide City Clerk agenda of dept head approved projects 7 days before the meeting or City Clerk will email AB board members that meeting is cancelled. iii. Chair ensures minutes of meeting are turned into Clerk within 2 weeks of meeting. 6. Proposed PRT workplan 2013: a. Tree City USA requirements: i. Accept proclamation from Mayor at City Council before tree planting. ii. Planting at Kah Tai Park in conjunction with Jefferson County Conservation District plant sale around the end of Feb 2013. Includes a press release of the event. iii. Tree City USA recertification application deadline Dec 31, 2013. b. Complete Park Functional Plan Rosemary Sikes and Debbie Jahnke on subcommittee with 2 members of Planning Commission. Waiting for dept head approval to begin 3rd draft. c. Create Significant Trees brochure of PT. (Must have approval of dept head.) i. Decide on significant trees on city property. ii. Debbie creates brochure. iii. Money for printing? d. Volunteers for our parks: (Must have approval of dept head) i. Report on pilot project-Oct/Nov volunteer raking of Mt View, Haller Fountain/Terrace steps and KTLNP workparty (tree planting, Scot's Broom pull, and garbage pick-up) ii. PRT board chair contact Steve Wright before PRT board meeting to assess volunteer need. iii. Create email list of park volunteers. iv. Someone responsible to publish events in Leader and PDN. v. City website notification of volunteer events. (Debbie) e. Development of a grant matrix listing information about all the various grant types that are available for parks. (Debbie) 7. Report on the PCJV PIF meeting Debbie attended in Nisqually on Nov 6. 8. KTLNP is getting its official `birding trail' sign from Audubon WA. Plan to install sign with photo for publicity Nov 20. 9.
