A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND AUTHORIZI G THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AG EMENT WITH LOCAL UNION NO. 589
OF THE INTERNATIONAL B OTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS FOR
GENERAL GOVERNMENT E LOYEES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1,2006
THROUGH ECEMBER 31,2008
WHEREAS, the City Council 0 the City of Port Townsend has reviewed the
terms of the tentative agreement negoti ed by the City Manager and the bargaining
representatives for the Teamster's Unio No. 589; and
WHEREAS, the City Council . shes to implement the tentative agreement as
presented by the City Manager at its me ting held on October 3,2005, by authorizing the
City Manager to sign a final agreement .th the Teamster's Union No. 589;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT SOLVED by the City Council for the City of
Port Townsend, that the City Manager i hereby authorized to execute a collective
bargaining agreement between the City fPort Townsend and Local Union No. 589 of
the International Brotherhood of Teams ers for General Government employees effective
for the period between January 1,2006 d December 31, 2008.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this nineteenth da of December, 2005.
