A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU CIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CI Y MANAGER TO SIGN A GRANT AGREEMENT
WITH THE W ASHINGTON STATE DEP RTMENT OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORIC
PRESERVATION FOR A CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CLG) GRANT FOR
PRODUCTION OF A VIDEO DOCU ENT ARY OF THE HISTORIC CITY HALL
RESTORfTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend jhas received a CLG grant from the Washington State
Department of Archaeology and Historic Preserv~tion for a video documentary ofthe Historic City Hall
Restoration Project; and I

WHEREAS, the City Manager must sigp a grant agreement with the Washington State
Department of Archaeology in order to obligate tpese funds for the production of one video documentary
of the Historic City Hall Restoration Project; andi

WHEREAS, throughout the Historic City Hall Project city staff has documented the history,
concerns and restoration using video taping; and i
!
WHEREAS, the project was designate~ as a priority project to video document the history,
current condition ofthe building and concerns, ard construction procedures that have been implemented in
the preservation of the Historic City Hall; and I
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City j::ouncil to move forward with this project in the most
expedient manner; i

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO~VED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
that the City Manger is hereby authorized to sig1 a grant agreement with the Washington State Department
of Archaeology and Historic Preservation and tol sign all necessary documents and contracts for the video
production of the construction and preservation fnethods of the Historic City Hall Restoration Project,
within available funding.

ADOPTED by the City Council of the pity of Port Townsend at a regular meeting thereof, held
this 17th day of October, 2005. I
