RESOLU ION NO. 05-033
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU CIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, ENDORSING FI ANCING OF CERTAIN INTERIOR AND
EXTERIOR WORK AT THE C TY HALL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, to fund the contract balance 0 the City Hall Improvements Project, and to fund
necessary changes orders, totaling $1,060,0 0
WHEREAS, to fund additional work in co pleting the City Hall project, as follows:
I. Repoint east (American Legion side) wall $114,000.
2. Madison Street site work $128,000
3. Install radiator piping and ventilatio III
Council Chambers
4. Additional amount for completion 0 City Hall
restoration
5. Contingency

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE by the City Council ofthe City of Port Townsend
as follows:
To fund needed interior and exterior improvements to the City Hall Project, and to fund
the contract balance, Council appro es a Councilmanic bond and/or other funding in the
following amount:
I. Contract balance of $750,000
2. Second floor fire suppression syst m of $25,000
3. Additional change orders of up to $285,000 $ 1,060,000

Council directs the City Manager to take all necessary actions, in conjunction with bond
counsel and financial consultant, fo the negotiated sale of limited tax general obligation
bonds of the City in the above amo nt. Following pricing by the underwriter, the Council
shall adopt an ordinance authorizin the issuance and sale of such bonds and providing

ADOPTED by the City Cou cil ofthe City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this sixth day 0 September, 2005.
