MINUTES OF THE REGULAR SESSION OF JULY 19, 1977 ".. , The City Council of the City of Port Townsend met in regular session this 19th day of July at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Joseph Steve presiding. ROLL CALL i Officiers and members pPBsent were as follows; Mayor Steve, I City-Treasurer-Engineer French, Deputy Treasurer Spindor, and Councilmen Ciprioti, Judy, Camfield, Park~r, and Wilson. MINUTES Judy/Ciprioti moved that the reading of the minutes be dispensed with and that they be ap- proved as written. Motion passed. City Park Board-Monthly report covering bike trails, budget, park signs, Tree of Heaven, and pier building renovation. by the public "..,-,-~,..."..", COMMITTEE RfPORTS Councilmen Judy reported the results of the Water Committee meeting. Dave Cunningham, Dave Goldsmith, County Commissioner and Mr Wyrick,~co-ordinator for Jâfferson-Mason Counties were present. Trident funds were discussed: State position reviewed,~funds depeodent on commitments to State Dept. $ocial Services, offer to buy outlying system by County. Another meeting was held within 24 hours later rbr a briefing on EDA Drought Relief Funds. It was agreed to follow both routeB for funds. Mayor Steve asked for a motion to proceed with efforts to obtain, Trident Funds and EDA FundB. , Judy/Ciprioti moved to go ahead and proceed with application for EDA and Trident Funds. Motion pasBed. City Engineer French reported that the ad hoc Planned Unit Development Committee met and reached agreements with owners of Mobile Home Park on contracts and covenants. .' PUBLIC HEARINGS '. , ned Unit A public hearing was conducted to determine the acceptance of a propo~¡ed Mobile Home Plan- Development Park submitted on application No. 151. City Engineer French requested that Mayor Steve be authorized to sign Mobile Home Park Wilson/Judy made the motion to approve this and motion passed. contract. OLD BUSINESS The Mayor reported that the bike trail signs were checked by him personally. The retiming of the traffic light was requested to be checked by Judy. Ciprioti' commented "UJALK" signs did not work well. NEW BUSINESS To determine council positions for election purposes, a hat was passed around containing four numbers. Wil§on is ~osition No.1, the position vacated by SydKlenk is No.2, Parker is Position No.3, and Shaneyfelt is Position No. ~: City Engineer French requested action on Museum termites. Judy recommEJnded extermination ~if funds are available. ' Cipriot~/Camfield made a motion to extend Permit No. 116, Quimper Inn Conditional Use Permit for one year only. Motion passed.
