AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO
EXIST IN REGARD TO THE PRESIaRVEITION OF PUBLIC HEALTH,
AND APPROPRIATING THE'' SUM OF $4 , 800.00 FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A14 AMBULANCE.
WHEREAS, ambulancoservice has been unexpectedly discontinued
in the City of Port Townsend, and an ambulance and ambulance service
is required for the .immediate preservation of public health, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF T11B CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is here and hereby appropriated to the 1974
budget of the Fire Department, the sum oc $4,800.00, for the purchase
of an ambulance as machinery and equipment under capital outlay in
said budget.
Section 2. There is here and hereby found and declared to be
an emergency immediately threatening the preservation of the public
health, as said emergency is defined under RCW 35.33.080, requiring
the above and foregoing expenditure.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in the form and manner required by law.
Read for the first, second and third tames, passed by the Council
and approved by the Mayor, January 2, 1974.
