AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR
THE GENERAL CITY GOVERNMENT, THE WATER -SEWER
DEPARTMENT, THE PORT TOWNSEND GARBAGE COLLECTION
SERVICE AND FEDERAL SHARED REVENUE, FOR THE
YEAR 1974.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appropriation for the 1974 budget is hereby made
for the General City Government for the year 1974, for the purposes
and in the amounts hereinafter set forth: For current expense, $300,
292; for the public library, $28,864; for City parks, $12,123; for
city streets and the City Street Department, $114,893; for Firemen's
Relief and Pension Fund, $10,781; for 1955 general obligation bonds,
$5,215; for the Cumulative Reserve Fund, $12,800; for the Arterial
Street Fund, $36,500.
Section 2. Appropriation .5w tk t is hereby made for
the 1974 budget of the Water -Sewer Department, as follows: For the
Water Department the sum of $129,955; and for the Sewer Department
the sum of $127,768; for Water ,Hain Revolving Fund, $8,332.
Section 3. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1974 budget of
the Port Townsend Ger$bage Collection Service in the sum of $69,130.
Section 4. Appropriation is hereby made for 1974 expenditures
under the Federal Shared Revenue Fund in the sum of $76,387.
Section 5. The preceding four sections hereof are hereby fixed
and adopted as the budget of the City of Port Townsend and its
various utilities for the year 1974.
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect on its passage,
approval and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor December , 1973.
