THE CITY COUNCIL OF' TEEF. CITY OF PORT TCA-1MSJ,:ND, IN RE tiULAR SESSIOIJ
AS5EMLED, 00 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS -
Section 1. AdditionaL funds from Federal Shgred Revenue, to the
end that totaf funds of $70,597.00 have now been received, there is
hers and hereby appropriated for the year 1973, from said Shared
Revenue Fund the following amounts for the stated purposes: Gravel.
Pit Acquisition, $150.00; Construction of back entrance to City
Library, $3,000.00; to DayshoIK Enterprises, $3,000.00; for a garbage
truck, $29,400; ancE fer improvement of the Cherry Street park,
$2,947.00.
Section 2. Funds in the sum of $7,373.55 having been allocated by the
the State f Washington to the City of Port Townsend, under the Federal
Omnibus Crime Prevention and Safe Streets Act, for police communications,
and the City matching funds requiring unanticipated and additional
expenditures in the sum of $293.11, to constitute the total outlay of
$10,889.55 under said grant and program, there is here and hereby found
and declared to be an emergency requiring the appropriation of $293.11
to the 1973 budget of the Police Department -for communications, and
said sum is hereby appropriated, and the City Treasurer is hereby
authorized to receive and deposit frgim the State of Washington said
$7,873.55, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to issue warrants accordingly, for the police communications
equipment and labor supplied under said project.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in the form and manner regijired by law.
Read for the first time on August 1, 1973. After public hearing
and second and third reading on August 21, 1973,- assed by the Council
and approved by the Mayor on August 21, 1973,
